Crochet Mittens

Image
I have tried many, many mitten patterns, only to frog each and every one of them out of frustration. They never worked out for me for some reason! Argh! I came across this pattern and thought I'd give it a go. This is, by far, the best pattern I have ever found! It works for every size, every time. I have now made several pairs in various yarns for Christmas presents. I'm not into the whole string look, so I left that part out. Pattern: Heart Strings  by Cathy Pipinich Hook Size:  6.0 mm (J) Yarn: Various

Earflap Hat

Image
I made this for my son and a friend from church asked for one for her daughter. Very simple, cute, and warm. My son was the only available model for my second hat. I’m sure he’ll hate me someday for putting him in a girl’s hat and taking his picture. :) Pattern: Earflap Hat For Kids by Knittwittz Hook Size: 5.5 mm (I) Yarn: Red Heart Super Saver

Buzz Lightyear Themed Afghan

Image
My two-year-old is Buzz Lightyear obsessed, so I made him this themed blanket for his bed. Very cheap and easy pattern. Pattern: Rainbow Ripple Afghan by Marianne Forrestal Hook Size: 8.0 mm (L) Yarn: Red Heart Super Saver

Granny Square Tote Bag

I’ve successfully made two of these bags now and plan on making more in the future. Very cute and versatile. Pattern:  Inga's Häkelbeutel  by Inga Joana Mertens Hook Size:  3.75mm (F) Yarn:  Lily Sugar'n Cream
